Summer Thermoelectric School
In order to reach a wide audience of young scientists and students who want to contribute their fresh ideas to the development of thermoelectric technologies of the future, we are organizing a special free-of-charge Summer Thermoelectric School. Participants will learn the fundamentals of physics, chemistry, materials engineering, and thermoelectric device design from top experts in the field.
Prof. Dr. Laurent CHAPUT, University of Lorraine, Nancy, France
Title: “Transport theory and ab initio calculations: application to thermoelectric materials”
Prof. Dr. Yuri GRIN, Max Planck Institute of Chemical Physics of Solids, Dresden, Germany
Title: “Chemical bonding and thermoelectric properties of materials”
Prof. Dr. Lei MIAO, Guangxi University, Nanning, China
Title: “Wearable Thermoelectric Generators: From Devices to Applications”
Prof. Dr. G. Jeffrey SNYDER, Northwestern University, Evanston, United States
Title: “Engineering Thermal Conductivity in Complex Materials”
Prof.Ludmila VIKHOR, Institute of Thermoelectricity, Chernivtsi, Ukraine
Title: „Modeling of the thermoelectric converter characteristics”
The school will take place on Sunday 30th June 2024, from 9.00 to 17.00 in the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics Building B8, Room 010a at the AGH University of Krakow.
The school is free of charge (excluding optional lunch – 25 EUR)
We inform you that the detailed schedule of the school will be published soon.
